Welcome to Khanya Hospice, where compassionate care meets those facing serious, incurable, and terminal
illnesses. As a non-profit organisation based in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. We provide free, high-quality
palliative care to patients suffering from HIV, TB, and cancer.
Our dedicated team of compassionate nurses and healthcare professionals are committed to improving the quality of life for both patients and their families through comprehensive medical care, emotional support, and compassionate, holistic therapies.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide high-quality
palliative care to terminally ill patients
and those with life-threatening illnesses
on the Upper South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal. We are committed to supporting not only our patients but also their families, ensuring they experience compassion, comfort, and
holistic care.
Admission Criteria
To ensure that our patients receive the most suitable care
for their needs, we have established specific criteria for
admission. We are committed to non-discrimination and
do not consider gender, race, social background, religion,
or creed in our admission process.
Hospice Care: A life-limiting condition with a prognosis
of six months and less or a disease that is longer
responsive to curative treatment.
Palliative Care: Specialised medical care aimed at
providing relief from pain and other symptoms of a
serious illness, ensuring quality of life for the
patient and family.
